BREATHWORK IS THE SELF,
REVEALING ITSELF,
TO THE SELF
WHAT TO EXPECT:
TIMING OF SESSION:
Our first session is spacious — 2.5 for 1:1 and 3 hours for small groups. We’ll spend the first section of our time together, arriving, learning about and practicing the breathing technique, setting intentions to get clear on what you’d like to explore. Then you will lay down and start the active breath. The active breathing is for about 60-70 minutes (it goes by quickly), and we’ll close with 20-40 minutes of integration so you can leave feeling grounded and resourced. You’ll be lying down comfortably for the breath itself, supported the whole way through.
HOW WE BREATHE:
In our sessions, I’ll guide you through a 3-part breathing pattern — two deep inhales (first into the belly, then the chest) followed by a soft, relaxed exhale. From there, we adapt. You get to listen to your body and make any adjustments that feel right in the moment. We might explore breath holds, pauses in stillness, or letting movement and sound move through you. This isn’t about forcing anything — it’s about following what feels nourishing and true for you. It’s about following the wisdom of the body.
Throughout the session, I’ll offer verbal cues to help you drop deeper into your awareness, optional supportive touch to help shift energy, and energetic attunements like Reiki. A carefully curated playlist supports you in moving out of your head and into the deeper layers of your body, psyche, and spirit.
TIMING OF LIFE:
Breathwork is powerful work especially if you can show up curious and ready to explore — breathwork moves energy, unlocks emotion, and can create profound shifts in how you feel and see yourself. Because of its depth, it’s important to make sure the timing is right for you and your body. Active breathwork can benefit anyone interested in healing, personal growth, or self-discovery. It’s especially supportive for people who already have some therapeutic or spiritual experience, as this can help you stay grounded and present while your body processes stored energy.
IS THIS
FOR ME IF…
I HAVE A HEALTH CONDITION?
Breathwork is not recommended for individuals who:
are Pregnant
have a Cardiovascular disease, including heart attacks, cardiovascular surgery, or cardiovascular symptoms such as arrhythmia?
have High blood pressure
Epilepsy, seizures, strokes, or other neurological condition
Diagnosed psychiatric condition (bipolar, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, etc.)
Recent surgery
Glaucoma or retinal detachment
Asthma
PTSD
History of severe trauma (acute and/or chronic/complex trauma)
If any of these apply to you, or if you have a history of significant trauma (or simply want to confirm breathwork is right for you), let's chat about this on the call. You can book a 15 min. consultation or email me here.
I’M NEW TO EMBODIMENT?
The 3-part breathwork can be very powerful, and it’s often most supportive for people who already have some experience with embodiment practices or altered states of consciousness. If this is completely new to you, that’s okay — I just ask that we schedule a brief consultation first. This gives us a chance to connect, talk through what you can expect, and make sure the work feels like a good fit for both of us.
