FAQ

  • I’ve never done anything embodiment-based before — is this for me?

The 3-part breathwork can be very powerful, and it’s often most supportive for people who already have some experience with embodiment practices or altered states of consciousness. If this is completely new to you, that’s okay — I just ask that we schedule a brief consultation first. This gives us a chance to connect, talk through what you can expect, and make sure the work feels like a good fit for both of us.n goes here

  • I am Pregnant - Can I still do Breathwork?

Activating breathwork (like the 3-part conscious connected breath I currently guide) is not recommended during pregnancy, as it can place stress on the body and may not be supportive for you or your baby. That said, there are many gentle and nourishing ways to work with the breath during this time. If you’re expecting, I can offer alternative practices — such as restorative breathing, guided relaxation, and meditative breath techniques — that are safe, supportive, and designed to help you feel more grounded, connected, and resourced during your pregnancy.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please don’t knock on the door until your appointment time. If you are running more than 10 min. behind please text me (my number should be included in your email confirmation).

  • Are there any Contraindications? (i.e. medical reasons to not participate in this type of Breathwork)

The 3-part Breathwork is not recommended if you check any of the following:

    Pregnancy.

Cardiovascular disease, including heart attacks, cardiovascular surgery, or cardiovascular symptoms such as arrhythmia?

    High blood pressure

Epilepsy, seizures, strokes, or other neurological condition

Diagnosed psychiatric condition (bipolar, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, etc.)

    Recent surgery

    Glaucoma or retinal detachment

    Asthma

    PTSD

History of severe trauma (acute and/or chronic/complex trauma)

If any of the above contraindications apply, or if you’ve experienced significant trauma and want to make sure this is the right modality for you right now, we can talk through it together before scheduling your session.

  • Is there anything I can do to prepare for my session?

    • eat a nourishing meal before you come 1-2 hrs before

    • drink some electrolytes (if you have them on hand, not necessary!)

    • earlier in the day take a magnesium supplement or potassium (if you have on hand)

  • I'm feeling a little sick - should I still come?

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • What should I bring to an IN-PERSON Session?

Thin pillow. Not normal thickness, but on the thin side pillow. A think blanket folded up also serves as a good thin pillow.

1-2 blankets: Body temperature can fluctuate significantly, so it's best to bring 2 blankets to ensure you're warm. Something that feels good to you and a little like home to your nervous system is always a good idea.

Comfortable, layered clothing: Wear comfortable, layered clothing, and avoid anything too tight (that could restrict deep breathing). Ideally something that doesn't have a zipper or buttons on the chest.

Water bottle: Breathing with the mouth can be dehydrating and your throat may feel a little dry, so it's best to hydrate well before/after, and have a water bottle on hand.

(Optional) Eye pillow/mask: Blocking out ambient light can be supportive of entering the experiential journey space. I have a couple if you want to borrow.

(Optional) Journal and pen: You might want to capture insights following the session.

(Optional) Light snack for afterwards. Some people get super hungry after their breathwork journey.
